Une impossible éducation plurilingue en situation coloniale. Discours sur le créole dans les apprentissages sous la Troisième République à La Réunion

Abstract : The injunctions against Creole language at school during the colonial period point to mixed emotions. Stigmatized for its supposed cognitive weaknesses, Creole is yet recognized as a language allowing its locutors to express some sensitivities of their own. Building upon linguistic research by scholars belonging to the Reunion Island's learned societies, the actors of the educational system have trouble conceiving a plurilingual education in a colonial situation.
