Contribution à l'étude de la végétation de l'île Rodrigues (Océan Indien)
Abstract
After a brief analysis of the ecological factors, the writer describes the vegetal communitiesb of Rodriguez Island, clearing up the relations between physiognomy, floristical composition and geographical distribution on the one hand and ecological conditions on the other hand. In some cases, the main stages of the evolution of vegetation are specified.
Après avoir analyser succinctement les facteurs écologiques, l'auteur décrit les principaux groupements végétaux de l'île Rodrigue en soulignant les rapports qui existent entre la physionomie, la structure floristique et la répartition géographique des ces groupements d'une part et les conditions écologiques d'autre part. Dans certains cas, les principales étapes de l'évolution de la végétation sont précisées.
