Tsotsisme : le gangstérisme du Cap comme une contre-société étatique

Abstract : This article explores the daily life the so-called tsotsis, slang for gangsters in the rainbow nation. We argue that gangs constitute state counter-societies which govern those urban marginalities due to the institutionalization of afroneoliberalism. Those criminal groups express in that the contradictions of capitalism, both liberal democracy collapsing and manifestation of a transgressive consumerism through an anarcho-tribalism. Those gangs brings into light the fall of the western economic paradigm inflected by an apocatastasis, meaning the primordial restoration in the case of a primitive communism which appears in those social laboratories.
