Une leçon réunionnaise : le psychothérapeute passeur de mondes

Abstract : At Reunion Is., some families understand their child’s disorder in the light of traditional causalities. They consider, for example, that a part of him could not fully befall to the natural world. During transcultural psychotherapy, therapists and families try to rebuild together the story and the sense of an individual, familial, generational symptom whose culturalized meaning facilitates access to care. This is possible when the therapist’s interpretations are consistent with those of the families’ cultural context.
