Del negro en la "parôdia" de las Tradiciones peruanas de Ricardo Palma

Abstract

In Tradiciones peruanas, Ricardo Palmas portrays a Creole negro with a pragmatic keenness that is not dominated by circumstances, thanks to alienation, real or apparent, or otherwise with the open challenge of delinquency and rebellion declined in all its paradigms. According ti the chosen genre, the treatment is almost always carried out in a jocular way. But behind the burlesque often arises, with respect to black characters, a firm ethical posture, originated in part, perhaps, by the mulatto origins of the author but mainly by his liberal commitment. The "parôdia" (burlesque imitation of the epic according to Aristotle) implies the reader as it leaves him the ability to choose his reading level and to seek the true meaning of "history"
