Un photographe pour un projet d'écriture

An artist who is invited to work on a school project is generally chosen for his art. But should his presence in the classroom not firstly be an opportunity to question with the pupils and the teachers the idea of being an artist ? Even if teachers are always in charge of the project, the partnership will make them as well learn what it means to be an artist. The concepts of art and artist in the teachers’ opinion will be studied here through the analysis of an experiment performed at a technical school in Romorentin. The analysis will be done from the point of view of the artist who realises a difference between his and the teacher’s expectations. It will show how the artistic work itself helps to overcome certain misconceptions.
Un artiste qui intervient en classe est choisi pour sa pratique, mais au-delà du faire, sa présence ne permet-elle pas aussi de questionner le concept d’artiste luimême, aussi bien avec les élèves qu’avec les enseignants ? En fait, tout en gardant la maîtrise pédagogique du projet, l’enseignant sera, lui aussi, travaillé par la rencontre. C’est cette question des représentations de l’art et de l’artiste chez les enseignants qui sera abordée ici à partir de l’exemple d’un projet artistique lancé au lycée professionnel de Romorentin. L’analyse se fera du point de vue de l’artiste à partir du constat d’un écart entre ses attentes et celles des enseignants. Il s’agit ici de mettre en évidence le rôle de la pratique comme forme de gestion de cet écart.
