Patrimoine et histoire locale : enjeux didactiques et pédagogiques
Résumé
The concepts of cultural heritage and historical monuments are often confused in everyday language. However, they are composed of distinct notions in particular with regard to meaning and have different chronologies. It is necessary here to focus on an analysis of the unfolding relationships that societies have sustained with these two notions while dwellingon the development of sensitivities in particular. Furthermore, the relevance of including both local history and heritage in civic education will be questioned on the one hand, and on the other in order to acquire specific competencies relevant to the subject of history.
Les notions de patrimoine et de monument historique sont souvent confondues dans le langage commun. Elles constituent cependant des notions distinctes, en particulier au niveau du signifié, et possèdent des chronologies différentes. Il s’agit ici de s’attacher à analyser l’évolution des rapports qu’ont entretenus les sociétés avec ces deux notions en s’attardant tout particulièrement sur l’évolution des sensibilités. En outre, on s’interrogera sur la pertinence du recours à l’histoire locale et au patrimoine local, d’une part, pour l’éducation à la citoyenneté et, d’autre part, pour la mise en oeuvre de l’acquisition des démarches et des connaissances propres à la discipline historique.
