Conséquences sur les pratiques d'une prise en compte intégrée des théories socio-constructivistes et émergentiste

Abstract : The present episteme of uncertainty enlightens changes in our conception of the limits of scientific research. In order to assess the way it may influence teaching, still influenced by symbolism, we find it necessary to determine what changes are possible in applied linguistics within this epistemological framework. An integrated approach of social constructivism and emergentism seems to allow the adaptation of language learning research to this new episteme. Our paper will show to what extent the complementarity of these approaches allows us to take into accound discontinuities and unpredictability in language learning. Our reflection will lead us into modelling a task-based approach in order to manage constant in vivo reconstruction in and of the learning environment.
