An acetylated monoterpene and a sesquiterpene alcohol from Psiadia anchusifolia

Abstract

Two compounds identified as 7,7-dimethyl-2-methylenebicyclo[3.1.1]heptan-6-ol acetate and 6,6,8,9-tetramethyltricyclo[3.3.3.0]undec-7-en-2-ol were isolated from the essential oil of the fresh leaves of Psiadia anchusifolia. Their structures were determined by extensive NMR studies (H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, DEPT, H-1-H-1 COSY, HSQC, HMBC) as well as by X-ray crystallographic analysis. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
