Les constantes dans les changements sociopolitiques à Madagascar

Abstract : The historical evolution of Madagascar after its independence in 1960 was marked by four political crises, which have generated system change. This paper shows in three complementary points the features which came across these social and political changes. First, historical weights bring about two features, namely the ethnical matter and the significance of religion. Then the result is that the legal organisation does not always match reality ; these features can be observed in the gap between rhetoric and reality as well the ambiguous position taken by the international Community. Finally, the chronic (political) instability during this period of changes is intensifed by the emergence of political groups who are ill-prepared to meet this challenge and by reccurent uncertainty that is typical of some new leaders
