Laïcité et éducation à la diversité en contexte réunionnais

Abstract : This contribution broaches the issue of secularism and questions the links it could have with an education to diversity, within a training scheme set up at the ESPé de La Réunion. Professional development is thought to be linked to a system based on students initial representations and emphasizing both writing and verbal interaction in educational context. This survey is based on the notion of a dynamic context and the process dimension of action in situ. Beyond the axiological tensions between ethics, morality and/or deontology, the analysis of exchanges reveals two pitfalls (standard posture and semantic dispersion) but also two levers (writing/dialogue, dynamic context/interaction rituals of formation). The discussion ends with the beginnings of a model of professional formation built on the couple secularism/diversity, the dual relationship between otherness/uniqueness and the importance of recognition.
